ORIGINAL TWO CORNER FORM

Special Two Corner Zoom Short Form Version 6. Created by Bradford C. Bennett, April 2021. Based on the Crozet Two Corner September 2013. Originated by H. H. Lui in 1989.

The Two Corner -Short Short Form

In June, 1987, Mr. Lui introduced his short Two Corner Form, sometimes referred to as the Short Short Form. Mr. Lui introduced the PHD Form as “A Special Short Form,” which he developed it in response to the three-part Yang Family Secret Long Form. However, the PHD form really isn’t that short relative to other forms referred to as short forms, taking 15 to 30 minutes to complete.

Mr. Lui thought of the Two-Corner Form as a teaching form, because the form always faces to the front (North, Northwest, & Northeast) so that the teacher never has to run from one side of the group to another to lead. In this form it is even clearer which moves allowed Mr. Lui to generate the most chi.

The form as shown here has the Dragon Dance added after Mr. Lui’s introduction of the form. In response to interest of Jim Bush and other students, Mr. Lui decided to add a Dragon Dance (Dragon Plays with Claws. Later he added the Dragon Dance on One Leg. Brad Bennett placed these moves  to the Form for Mr. Lui.
