46th Tai Chi Friends Reunion
Sunday, June 21 to Thursday, June 25, 2026
We will, once again, hold this event at the beautiful Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma, Ca. http://www.thewesterbekeranch.com The event runs from Sunday afternoon (check in time is 4 PM) to after lunch on Thursday.
Housing is provided in cozy rooms for up to 4 occupants in charming redwood cabins on a hillside or 2 large yurts at the top of the hill. Each bedroom has a private bathroom and the cabins have porches with comfortable seating for relaxing, reading or napping. You can request specific roommate(s) and all efforts will be made to accommodate these requests.
There are numerous gathering spaces, both indoor and outdoor, as well as a lovely indoor tai chi practice space with hardwood floors and plenty of room for all of us.
3 delicious meals per day are provided on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Only dinner will be served on Sunday. Only breakfast and lunch will be served on Thursday. Meals can be tailored to individual dietary needs - vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc. Portions are plentiful: You will not go hungry. There are fruit snacks left out during the day, with tea, coffee, and cold water available at any time. Local wines are also available for sale by the bottle.
Access to amenities including:
● A pool for lap swimming or just cooling off in the middle of a hot day.
● A large hot tub.
● Extensive gardens and a walking labyrinth.
● Gift shop with some unique clothing, jewelry, and art pieces.
● Indoor and outdoor eating areas for meals.
Activities included with registration:
● Early morning meditation and Qigong sessions.
● Tai Chi classes and practices taught or led by experienced Tai Chi teachers.
● Evening games (Boggle, Pictionary) and a dance party (so pack your dancing shoes).
● KH&W update/book launch.
● Newly added clothing swap. This has become a very popular event, so bring your gently used clothing and accessories and save room in your suitcase to go home with new treasures.
● Time in the afternoons for a dip in the pool and hot tub or a trip into downtown Sonoma for browsing/shopping.
● For full-time or 3-day registrants, a specially designed t-shirt is also included. Extra t-shirts can also be purchased by registrants and those who are part-time/day use participants. T-shirt request forms will be sent to participants after registration.

EVENT REFUND POLICY
Refund Policy for CHW Westerbeke Pres Day Retreat & June Reunion
Due to continued questions about this matter, a core group of Cloud Hands West/Lui Cloud Hands Tai Chi members agree that our refund policies should be published. Because our retreat and reunion contracts are primarily with Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma California, this policy refers only to Westerbeke deposits and payments.
Full refunds for deposit or down-payment for a reunion or a retreat will be approved if cancellation of registration is given 30 days ahead of the date of the event and the CHW group sign-ups have met the minimum head count as required by the contract. CHW cannot give any last-minute refunds.
If you can find a substitute for your registration before the beginning of the event, that sub’s reimbursement to you is to be handled privately. That sub must however complete a CHW registration form immediately and no less
than 1 week (at the latest) before the date of the event for housing and food planning.
SCHOLARSHIP POLICY
Cloud Hands Tai Chi Scholarship Policy
Giving/Receiving Scholarships:
Individual scholarship amounts will be $300 for the Presidents Day retreat and $350 for the Tai Chi Friends Reunion. Couples may each get a scholarship.
Only one scholarship will be granted per person per year, and all scholarships are confidential.
